Built on the cliffs overlooking Niagara Falls, Fallsview Casino Resort sprawls across a 23-acre site on Fallsview Boulevard. It occupies 2.5 million square feet of space, of which 200,000 square feet is for gambling purposes.
The casino is home to over 3,000 slots, 130 table games featuring blackjack, baccarat, craps and roulette action, and a new set of electronic gambling machines that blur the lines between slots and live dealer games.
Considering the fact that the resort cost Ontario Lottery and Gaming $1 billion to construct, it comes as no surprise that it has so many amenities to offer aside from casino gaming. The site also features a CAA/AAA Four Diamond 374-room luxury hotel, full-service spa and fitness centres, fine dining restaurants, bars and lounges and a 1,500-seat entertainment venue.
Fallsview Casino Resort is owned by Ontario Lottery and Gaming and operated by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, behind some of the most successful casino resorts across Canada and the US. The casino is open 24/7 to all patrons 19 and older.
So far, Fallsview Casino’s efforts in this area consist of a proprietary social gaming app for playing casino games.
It might be a play-for-fun app, but the choice of games is solid. The app lets you compete against your friends, climb the leaderboards, earn points through daily bonuses and live tournaments, perform in-app purchases and experience many of the same features as real money casino apps. The app is available for iOS and Android users through Apple’s App Store and the casino web page.

Fallsview Casino Resort and Hotel has announced an upcoming transition from its Players Advantage Club rewards program to Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment’s Momentum program. Momentum is a five-tier rewards program that gives players a chance to win perks like complimentary food, priority seating, slots and table game play, VIP lounge access and various discounts.
Every time players place a wager, they receive both status points and Momentum dollars. The number of points dictates your level within the program, while you can exchange Momentum dollars for rewards. The Momentum rewards levels and the number of points required to reach them are as follows:
The more you play, the faster you can accumulate status points and climb to higher levels. Also, the more you wager, the more Momentum dollars you can accrue and exchange for prizes. Any points you’ve accumulated in the previous Players Advantage Club will transfer to the new program.
Fallsview Casino Resort, together with Ontario Lottery and Gaming, has worked with the Responsible Gambling Council and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health to address adverse effects of gambling, prevent underage gambling and spread awareness of responsible gambling.
The Responsible Gaming Council operates a PlaySmart Centre, which offers information on the PlaySmart program, including how to control and establish gambling budgets, refrain from overspending, and understand what it means to gamble responsibly. There is also a self-exclusion program that allows players to block themselves from playing for six months, one year or indefinitely.
Fallsview Casino Resort opened its doors to visitors on June 8, 2004, following Ontario’s $1 billion investment in creating the Belle Époque-styled facility. Construction began in 2001 at a 23-acre site that once belonged to the Ontario Power Building and Canadian Pacific Railway. After the casino was completed, there were plans for the nearby Casino Niagara to close. However, the casino remains as the second property under the Falls Management Group and OLG.
In 2008, Fallsview was named Ontario’s Favourite Casino by Toronto Sun readers, one of the many awards and recognitions the casino has received. The resort is owned by Ontario Lottery and Gaming. Since 2019, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment has handled the day-to-day operation of the resort.
