Add Ontario to Gaming Laboratories International’s (GLI) customer list.
In August, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) named GLI an independent testing laboratory (ITL). GLI provides world-renowned testing and certification services to the gaming industry.
And, the company is already the official testing lab in other provinces, including Alberta’s recent launch of PlayAlberta.
The announcement allows GLI to begin testing and certifying iGaming components in the province immediately.
Priorities will be games, random number generators (RNGs) and platforms/remote gaming servers (RGS).
But with GLI’s 30 years of experience in testing and certification, CEO James Maida is confident his company will be able to go above and beyond.
“We’re always preparing for what’s next-land-based, digital, or both, with experts on the ground around the world,” said Maida, via a press release statement.
“As the pioneer in iGaming and sportsbook testing and certification, we know we will have much to offer, and our global professionals are ready to help in ways no one else can.”
Help is on the way
Alongside its testing and certification work, GLI plans to provide additional assistance to any registered operator or gaming-related supplier who asks.
The idea is for everyone to clearly understand the AGCO Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming moving forward.
To get there, GLI aims to provide pre-certification testing, jurisdictional consultation, and regulatory advisory support. Educational Services for iGaming, sports betting compliances and workshops are also an option.
“Beyond wanting the AGCO and province of Ontario to greatly benefit, we also want operators and suppliers to be commercially successful, all while maintaining the highest levels of integrity in compliance,” said Salim L. Adatia, GLI’s Vice President of Client Services for North America.
GLI boasts it is the only testing lab “working with all existing and emerging jurisdictions worldwide.”
Other notable consultation services GLI offers include digital & iGaming, desktop and mobile games, and sports betting.
